Drake’s Joint Roadside BBQ is “bringing the smoke show to you” at 1193 Rt. 22. It first opened on Rt. 10 in East Hanover and has two additional locations slated for Newark and Wayne, its website says.
The place was opened by Daniel Risis, whose old spot Toby’s Cup, is heading to auction later this week.
Drake's offers platters stacked high with tender brisket, ribs, chicken, and pulled pork, as well as a series of mouthwatering sides like gruyere mac n’ cheese, creamed collard greens, brisket burnt ends baked beans, German red potato salad, and more. Sandwiches, soups, and of course, desserts, are also available.

Drake’s Joint in Phillipsburg is open Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 7 p.m. Pickup orders can be placed by calling or texting (201) 470-1571.
